6.Instruction of installation
(1) Install height greenhouses: 2.5m ± 1.5m

(2) Install distance greenhouses: 4m ± 2m

Note:
1. The suitable installation height should be 2.5m ± 1.5m. The lower the stronger will the photon flux density be.
Adjust the hanging height of led grow light in different growth stage according to the needs of plants.
2. The suitable installation distance should be 4m ± 2m. The closer the stronger will the photon flux density be. Adjust the distance to get enough photon flux density according to the needs of plants in different growth stage.
3. Indoor used only, don’t use in dripping water or dripping irrigation place to avoid light
damage.
4. The supplement lighting time plus sunlight lighting time should be 8-16hrs. There is old saying ‘too much water drowned the miller’. No time rest and digestion-absorption, it will affect the growing speed.
5. You can get better result if you use the led grow light and HPS light together.
The ratio of 90W led grow light and 600W HPS light: 6:1.
6. Turn off the power supply when thundering and lighting, avoid damage to the led grow light.

Wavelength of the red led unit (Peak) is 660.2nm

Wavelength of the blue led unit (peak) is 451.7nm

b) Cycle lighting time
1. Short day plants: flowering when the daytime is lower than the critical value of lighting time that plants need.
2. Long day plants: flowering when the daytime is higher than the critical value of lighting time that plants need.
3. Middle day plants: the daytime won’t affect the flowering of the plants.
c) Adjust cycle lighting time
Control flowering period, according to the different flowering period plants use artificial short day (pull black cloth) or artificial long day(increase lighting time).1. Artificial short daytime.
• Pull black cloth.
– Opaque material blocks all light.
– SDP induced to flower.
– Reflective to reduce heat delay.
– Can be automated.
– Can ‘double’ as thermal blanket to hold in heat on cold nights.
2. Artificial long daytime.
• Protract daytime.
– Include blossoming of long day plant.
– Light (FR containing) for 3-6 hrs at end of day.
– Low intensity (1-3 mmol/m2/s, 7-10 fc).
• Prevent in dark period:
– Prevent blossoming;
– 2-4 hrs of low light during dark period;
– Want little FR in light.
3. Interaction effect of temperature.
It’s influence with temperature of critical day time.
• Short day plant(SDP),critical daytime will be shorter when temperature increase:
– Mums;
– Poinsettias.
• Longday plant (LDP),critical daytime will be shorter when temperature taking down.
– Fuchsia.
d) Photomorphogenesis regulation:
The research in photo morphogenesis, the result will be best when lighting with red and blue color together.
Morphological and anatomical characteristics of the stem, leaf will change evidently when the piper nigrum and perilla frutescence grow under suitable light wavelength of the LED. The speed of photosynthesis will be increased when the light density increased. The composite wavelength of the LED will increase the quantity of the stomata of the marigold and salvia officinalis plants.
e) Comparing test of the fluorescent light, metal halide lamp and led grow light.
1. Speed of growth
Test of lettuce growth: lighting 12hrs per day, lighting time 80hrs. The lettuce grows best under the led grow light. Best result light for lettuce growth: ratio red and blue 70 : 20.

The light not only influence the photosynthesis but also the photoperiod adjusting and the light quality(ratio of red and blue light etc.) also play an important role in the growth of shape.
The special wavelength of red 660nm, blue 450nm of led grow light will effect flowering time, quality and flowering lasting time and also can increase the bud and flower quantity, reduce the flower reaction, regulate the length of stem and flowering period. According to the research, the mixed wavelength of the led grow lighting can improve growth of spinach, carrots and lettuce, develop the shape index, maximum sugar beet accumulation, produce most sugar and starch in the hair root.
3. Lack of lighting
Lack of lighting consequences that photosynthesis can not run ordinary. Plants can not accumulate nutrition which will lead to :
* In nutrition growing step, nutrition can not be accumulated and in a weak growing, effect the bloom and fruits.
* In blooming time, it will lead to falling down of flower and fruits.
* In the process of fruits growing and flavor developing, photosynthesis was handicapped which will lead to misshape, bad, small shape as well as lack of nutrition, low vc, bad flavor.
* Weak lighting delays the growing, which lead to miss good time of marketing.
